So my weekdays I’ve noticed are well settled and I am able to finish all my school tasks on time and all is good in that respect. I’ve been going to all my classes and trying to go to bed on time for the most part. Only problem I seem to have is waking up early when I have no work to do. I really want to just be programmed to wake up around 7 or 8 and start my day. As opposed to waking up at 7 or 8 and realize I don’t have to do anything until 1 so I’ll sleep until then (which is what my current dilemma is). I’m going to try and start going to morning coffee runs since coffee is life and the only thing that would make me voluntarily get out of bed before I need to.
My weekends are still a mess, granted it’s only been a week since I started the new system (see previous post). I’m still managing to work on my personal project, in fact the keylogger is almost complete, just have to implement discrete deployment. The problem is that I’m not getting enought time to work on it (probably because of my sleeping-in dilemma I mentioned earlier). I’m going to try and make morning coffee runs a thing and hopefully things will balance out. I also find myself unable to stay focused on just the keylogger project, since I already have react.js and node/express fresh in my head. I think I might start up a web dev project in parallel with the keylogger since it’s not taking up too much time. I just found out about this new site, Lapa, that gives you layouts for inspiration and figured I can try and recreate some nice UI’s from there with react.
I’ve temporarily put my job hunt on hold. I still would like to get out of my current employment and go into a more speicalized field, but I’m through putting all my faith in online applications since it’s like trying to win the lottery. I figured I would focus more on networking (with people), my personal projects/portfolio and maybe even do a little bit of freelancing if possible. I also figured I would be staying at my current job until the end of summer, just to close out a year there, so there’s no rush.
